In several of my pages I mention a site named Renderosity.
It is not only a great place to acquire assets (many low-cost or even free), but it’s a gathering place for digital artists of all kinds.
Their extensive forums bring together users of the Blender, DAZ and Poser software packages discussed here, as well as users of just about every other digital creation software out there. They even have a forum called “Freestuff”.
You can check Renderosity’s forums out here.

There’s also MyPaint ( http://mypaint.intilinux.com/ ) and Paint.net ( http://www.paint.net/ )
Laurie, thank you so much!
I’m a Mac guy, so I may have stumbled on these programs and forgotten about them.MyPaint is for Windows and Linux, while Paint.net’s program is for Windows only.
Since I can’t try them out, would anyone out there like to create pages for them and blog on their use?
Didn’t get a chance to read the whole thing: did you happen to mention Inkscape? Or isn’t that available for Mac?
Yes, InkScape is very much available for the Mac.
My page for it is here:
